Gilbert AZ is once again the #2 Safest Cities in US 2016 by Law Street Media. This is Gilbert’s third year occupying this spot on the list. Gilbert neighbor city Chandler AZ is #8 in the list. There are 2 cities in Phoenix East Valley named 2016 Top 10 Safest City in US.
Law Street’s Crime Team used the FBI’s four major violent crime categories–murders, aggravated assaults, robberies, and forcible rapes–to create a standard measure of violent-crimes-per-100,000 people among all cities over 100,000 people reporting crime data to the FBI.
